This Internationally acclaimed, guitar wielding, Indie Pop/Rock singer/songwriter has traveled the world with her close knit band of incredibly talented musicians that is the Jenny and the Drivers. Hailing from the DC/Baltimore area, the group has combined its eclectic stylings into a musical powerhouse of organic Pop/Rock. Jenny has stolen the hearts of many with her seductive, sultry style and driving rock beats. With Mike Kuhl on Drums, Jeff Reed on Bass, Jason Donehoo on Guitar, Jacob Yoffee on Keys, J.C Kuhl on Sax, and Nick Reider on Trumpet, the combo of talent, musicianship and amazing stage presence is a well-blended masterpiece. With her new, unique blend of cultured pop and standard rock, Jenny has created her own place in the music scene.   She has reverently taken the best of her influences, added her own flare and blended them into one amazing performer, poet and musician. 

 
 
 

Jenny Boyle is an international entertainer and recording artist from the Washington DC, Metropolitan area. Jenny studied voice at George Mason University as well as receiving a degree in Nursing from NVCC. Still the girl next door, just a little more rock and roll, she is the sweetest bad girl on the music scene! 

She is a member of BMI, Washington Area Music Association and the Songwriters’ Association of Washington. Jenny began singing at open mic's when she was just 15 years old.   By age 17, she was playing professionally in local clubs with regularity.   Now Jenny has captivated audiences all over the world, performing throughout the US as well as Cyprus, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE, Djibouti, Jordan, Turkey, Egypt, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Puerto Rico, Saini Peninsula, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Germany, The United Kingdom, Belgium, The Netherlands, Japan, Korea, Guam, Hawaii, Kwajalein and Qatar.  With hints of Jazz, Blues, Latin and Roots, their music reaches out to all, and has been heard in over 177 Countries worldwide.

 Her passion for music and her gratitude to our Service Men and Women has taken her to military bases, hospitals, orphanages, as well as to the Center Courtyard to the Pentagon.  She frequently combines her passions for healing and music in her performances for our wounded troops recovering at Walter Reed Army Hospital.  She has dedicated her talents to the support of our troops wherever they may be. She aspires to be the Bob Hope of the new generation!

Jenny has been influenced by the music of great performers such as Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton, Ella Fitzgerald, Bob Dylan, Jeff Buckley and many more. 

 

 

 Jeff Reed is an acoustic bassist, electric bassist, composer, and educator, currently residing in Baltimore, MD.   As a 2002 graduate of Towson University, studying under Victor Dvoskin and earning a Bachelor of Music degree, Jeff now primarily performs and records as a sideman for various groups in the Baltimore – Washington D.C. area.

 With the acoustic bass as his instrument, Jeff has played in almost every major Baltimore and D.C. jazz venue. Due to the versatility and respect he has gained as a musician, Jeff has performed extensively throughout the east coast and in over 20 countries worldwide. In his travels, he has shared the stage with jazz legends such as Billy Hart, John Hicks, Bunky Green, Ronnie Mathews, Gary Thomas, George Colligan, Eddie Henderson, Paquito D’Rivera , and Ethel Ennis. 

 Reed has been working and touring with Jenny Boyle for the past 5 years.  As the longest standing member of the band, Jeff has been a part of everything the band has done since its inception in 2002. When performing with Jenny, Reed primarily plays electric bass, but lately has been experimenting with adding the acoustic bass into the mix.

 

 

 

 

Mike Kuhl, A Baltimore native,  was performing in local clubs by the age of 15.  Enrolling in Towson University in 1995, he began studying with world class percussionist and drum set instructor Jon Seligman as well as performing at clubs and festivals throughout the country with notable artists such as Gary Thomas, Claudio Roditi and Michael Formanek. After living and performing in New York City, Kuhl returned to Baltimore and has been playing with Jenny since 2004. He has traveled with the band on many overseas tours to entertain our troops.

 

 

Jason Donehoo  is an accomplished guitarist  who has been playing in the Mid Atlantic music scene since 1997. He started playing guitar at the age of 12 after years of watching his father play. Jason studied guitar with Don Ingram in Catonsville, MD and enjoys playing a wide range of music from classical guitar to rock to blues to jazz and more. He has been in many bands over the years including, Jupiter Menace and most recently VOX. Jason started playing with The Jenny Boyle Band in July of 2010 and is looking forward to joining the overseas tour to thank our troops over the holidays!!! 

 
 
Jacob Yoffee - an Inner Circle Music recording artist, is endorsed by Buffet-Crampon and is a composer/performer based in Los Angeles.  He has scored thirteen films including the upcoming Dimension Films release, "Children of the Corn : The Dweller" and "Sinking Sands" which stars Jimmy Jean-Louis from NBC's hit show "Heroes."  His background is varied, ranging from classical to rock to jazz and he has performed/recorded with Rusted Root, Poogie Bell (of the Marcus Miller Band), Sean Jones, Greg Osby, James Genus & Shawn Pelton (of the SNL Band), EJ Strickland, Michele Rosewoman, George Colligan, Dwayne Dolphin and many others.  His debut release on INCM records was featured on the cover of Saxophone Journal and the release concert, at the Jazz Standard in Manhattan, garnered a review in the New York Times.  

J.C. Kuhl is a native of Baltimore, Md., he plays saxophone, flute and clarinet and studied at Towson State University, where he majored in jazz/commercial music. After working in clubs in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. area, he moved to Richmond in 1995 and joined the eclectic rock band Agents of Good Roots, which fused many different styles including jazz, hip-hop and classical. They toured incessantly for six years, playing more than 200 shows a year.

Kuhl has performed and/or shared the stage with Dave Matthews Band; John Scofield Uberjam Band and Quartet; Devil's Workshop Big Band; Béla Fleck and the Flecktones; Bruce Hornsby; Blues Traveler; Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe; Medeski, Martin and Wood; Big Head Todd and the Monsters; The Neville Brothers; The Temptations; Soulive; Pat McGee Band; Moe; and G Love and Special Sauce. He toured as part of the H.O.R.D.E. tour for two years with artists such as Lenny Kravitz, Me’shell Ndegeocello, Rusted Root, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, King Crimson, Ben Harper, and Blues Traveler and continues to perform extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada.

 J.C. continues to reside in Richmond, where he does freelance studio work and plays regularly with Brian Jones Projects, Trumpeter, John D'Earth,  Ombak, Kuhl Trio, Modern Groove Syndicate, Bio Ritmo, and The Winn Brothers Band as well as his own projects. Since 2003, he has been the adjunct professor of jazz saxophone at Virginia Commonwealth University and teaches at The Collegiate School and Harrison Music Center.

 

 

 

Nick Reider is a Baltimore based performer and instructor specializing in Trumpet & Flugelhorn. Nick has been performing and teaching in the Baltimore/D.C. area for the last 12 years. He performs in several local bands, including The Players Band, The 8 Ohms Band, Jenny Boyle Band, in addition to several local Jazz groups. He also composes and arranges music for a variety of well known artists. Some of his performing highlights include sharing the stage with Grammy Award Winner The Isley Brothers, The B-52's, and Cuba Gooding Sr.  Nick has had extensive studio recording experience and has recorded Trumpet & Flugelhorn for many artists albums including BILLBOARD’S #1 ALBUM FOR CONTEMPORARY JAZZ, Sep 2007 - "NAJEE - RISING SUN". 

Nick studied music at Towson University and obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education in 2000.  While at Towson, Nick studied under jazz instructors Bill Warfield & Alex Norris, and with classical instructors Ray Moore & Luis Engelke. He performed in Towson’s Award Winning Jazz Ensemble as a soloist, and was Principal trumpet for the University’s Wind Ensemble.

 Nick started performing with Jenny in 2009 and has been busy writing and arranging horn parts for some of Jenny’s original songs. He is excited to take part in his first overseas tour to entertain U.S. troops with Jenny this December 2010.
